We have been hearing reports of Vince McMahon changing scripts of SmackDown Live at last minute from past few weeks and it appears that this week’s episode of the show was nothing different.
Multiple sources reported that Mr. McMahon changed the script for the show on the day itself and Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet noted on Twitter that the Boss was redoing the script 2 hours before the show:
Heard from a few sources that Vince McMahon has decided he's not satisfied with tonight's #SDLive script and is re-doing the whole show with only 2 hours left before the SummerSlam go-home episode begins.
Tonight should be interesting.

There were also reports of the main event being changed throughout the day and at one point Bryan Alvarez had reported that the planned main event was Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan.
Though this was later changed to a tag team match which saw Bryan teaming up with Rowan to face Xavier Woods and Big E. The New Day picked up a disqualification win in this bout.
As far as the new Executive Director Eric Bischoff’s influence on the show goes, it was noted that the former WCW Official did not have much influence on the episode and it was said that he hasn’t suggested or pitched anything yet which has made it to the TV.
From what I'm hearing, Eric Bischoff still hasn't had much influence on the creative direction of SmackDown Live. One source told me hasn't suggested or pitched anything that's made TV yet. Sounds like he's still getting familiar with his new surroundings.
