Batista ‘Cancels’ WrestleMania 37 Appearance

Batista will not be appearing at the WWE Hall of Fame induction or for the WrestleMania traditional walkout of inductees, despite being part of the class of 2020.

Ringside News reports that Batista is no longer scheduled for a live appearance.

Eric Bischoff was announced yesterday for the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2021.

Eugene tweeted, “Is it true that Eugene’s Uncle Eric ⁦@EBischoff⁩ will be inducted in the 2021 @WWE Hall of Fame? Congratulations Uncle Eric. Hmmmm…Which family member should induct him?! 😎”

Despite their massive heat in WCW and TNA, former writer Vince Russo congratulated Bischoff.

Vince Russo wrote, “So I’m not asked a million times. CONGRATS to @EBischoff for being inducted into the @WWE HOF. Dating all the way back to his early days at the AWA, Eric has contributed in a tremendous way to the Wrestling Profession as a whole both behind the scenes and in front. Kudos.”

TNA and their now former President Dixie Carter ended up in litigation with Bischoff after he was sent home from TNA, but Dixie congratulated Bischoff on his induction as well.

Dixie Carter said, “Congrats @EBischoff. Thrilled for you to received this deserved recognition. #cheers Clinking glasses#needtoastingredwineglasses @wwe #wcw @IMPACTWRESTLING #WWEHOF.”
