Becky Lynch paid tribute to one of her best friend’s Dean Merton, known as ‘Alexander Dean’ and ‘Sean South’ in the wrestling world. Dean had competed in ICW and wXw Germany during his time as a wrestler.
Lynch took to X and shared her thoughts on the passing away of Dean Merton. While people may be unaware of who he is, he is best known for his work in the International Wrestling Circuit.
My pal. I wish you knew how special you were. You were kind and genuine and talented and hilarious. I could talk to you about anything. I’m going to miss you. When I got my tryout you were one of the first people I told. I’d pick you up and we’d drive to Bray together, talking about life and wrestling and CrossFit. We’d train in the freezing cold gym and laugh and banter and exchange holds. You believed in me.
You were my friend and you were there for me through everything. And I was there for you. I wish I could have been there more. I’ll miss our chats and your jokes. I won’t miss working out with you cause you always killed me. Love you buddy. I’m going to miss you. Rest in Peace.
Becky praised how she could share any of her thoughts with him and even shared how the two would laugh at things inside the gym during their time. Lynch felt devastated at what transpired and hoped that her best friend rests in peace.

Notably, Becky had an opening Steel Cage Match at WWE Payback where the former Raw Women’s Champion was victorious against Trish Stratus. Zoey Stark, Trish’s protege later hit the WWE Hall of Famer with a Z360 leaving everyone wondering on what’s next for the wrestling legend.
Lynch, on the other hand, got an unexpected visit from NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton during a backstage interview following her match at WWE Payback. Tiffany took a shot at how Becky has never been an NXT Women’s Champion.
Becky Lynch versus Tiffany Stratton has been made official for next week’s episode of NXT. It would be interesting to see if the former Raw Women’s Champion is able to capture the only gold that she has never had the hands on.
