Laura Ingraham Drops Sad Melania Trump Bombshell

Fox News host Laura Ingraham criticized CNN for pointing out that none of Donald Trump’s family members were present at his Manhattan hush money trial during its first four days. Ingraham suggested that this observation was a sign that the trial wasn’t going as CNN expected, hinting that the media was becoming uneasy because the proceedings appeared to be favoring Trump.

Ingraham described the “lawfare” against Trump as backfiring, causing disappointed commentators who had anticipated a different outcome to be left grasping for content. She referenced a segment in which CNN’s John Berman noted that while Trump had wished his wife Melania a happy birthday, she and other family members had chosen not to attend the trial.

Ingraham then mocked Berman’s remark about the family’s absence, sarcastically suggesting that it was absurd to think Trump would want to subject his family to the trial, especially on Melania’s birthday. She underscored how ridiculous it would be to punish his family by having them sit through the trial during personal occasions like a birthday.

Earlier in her program, Ingraham found it satisfying to see CNN host Anderson Cooper visibly uncomfortable when one of his guests, attorney Adam Kauffman, provided a perspective favorable to Trump. Kauffman pointed out that Trump’s legal team was undermining the prosecution’s narrative by suggesting that the alleged hush money payments were not part of a quid pro quo arrangement, which challenged the basis of the case against Trump.

“The lawfare being waged against Trump seems to be totally backfiring,” Ingraham said. “And, so, disappointed commentators who kind of bet the farm on this, are just left sputtering. Even, and this was really great this morning, offering nasty jabs after Trump’s sweet birthday greetings to Melania.”

One thing I want to point out, the first thing he did was wish his wife, Melania, a happy birthday, and said he wished he could be with her. She could be there. Any number of his family members could be there at this trial at any point. They’ve all chosen not to be at this trial.
