Braun Strowman breaks record at Greatest Royal Rumble

Braun Strowman made history at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Not only did Strowman win the event, taking the trophy and the Greatest Royal Rumble Championship, but the Monster Among Men also broke the Royal Rumble record for eliminations.

Roman Reigns’ record of 12 eliminations, which was set in 2014, has been broken, as Strowman eliminated a record 13 men in Saudi Arabia. WWE made a statement on the big man’s achievement.

Braun Strowman breaks record for most Royal Rumble Match eliminations

Braun Strowman made history in more ways than one at the first-ever Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Not only did The Monster Among Men outlast 49 other Superstars to become the Greatest Royal Rumble Champion, but he also set a Royal Rumble Match record by eliminating 13 Superstars in a single bout.

Strowman’s list of victims is as follows:

1. Babatunde
2. Dan Matha
3. Big E
4. Heath Slater
5. Tye Dillinger
6. Titus O’Neil
7. Curt Hawkins
8. Great Khali
9. Shane McMahon
10. Bobby Lashley
11. Chris Jericho
12. Kevin Owens
13. Big Cass

Braun broke the record previously held by Roman Reigns, who eliminated 12 Superstars in the 2014 Royal Rumble Match.

Of course, Reigns’ Rumble bout included only 30 Superstars while Strowman had a whopping 50, but who’s going to quibble with The Monster Among Men?

With a record-breaking performance and a win in tonight’s Rumble match, it looks like 2018 will be another big year for Braun Strowman.

He was the right winner. Either him or Daniel Bryan. Hats off to him.
