Bray Wyatt was told on a phone call that he was fired by WWE due to budget cuts according to Dave Meltzer. He was ready to return in August.
Bray Wyatt – or as we most notably know him currently as The Fiend had been off of TV since WrestleMania which saw The Fiend ‘get buried’ by Randy Orton almost out of nowhere. The match that so many looked forward to clocked in at what felt like less than ten minutes and fans were outraged.
On an episode of the ‘The Nitty Gritty Dirt Show’ a couple months ago we step behind the curtain of all things professional wrestling with Vince Russo and Billi Bhatti. During this episode, Vince and Bhatti go over all of the current craziness within the WWE.
During this part of the show, Vince Russo and Billi Bhatti are speaking about Bray Wyatt and the issues he has suffered in WWE from the likes of Vince McMahon calling him out for a weight gain.
Vince Russo: “You know what, Billi? I sent Bray a message this last week through a DM. I didn’t want to make it sound like I knew exactly what was going on, but I just wanted to let the guy know that my thoughts were with him and what a great talent I thought he was etc…etc…What’s going on with Bray?”
Bhatti: “He’s just off. He’s just off through mental health issues. He’s burned out and stressed out.”
