Dr. Brit Baker is one of the top stars in the AEW Women’s Division. That is largely attributed to her heel character, as she is simply good at getting heat on her. As reported earlier, Britt Baker credited Kenny Omega for helping her turn heel.
Before she was a heel, Baker worked as a babyface in AEW and it seems she had a difficult time getting over in that role. She slowly turned heel by making fun of Tony Schiavone, berating several fans’ dental conditions and more.
Baker recently appeared on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast, where she talked about her failed run as a babyface in AEW. She blamed Jim Ross for the failure, stating that he was responsible for not getting her over. Ross would constantly point out how dentists are natural heels, which did her no favors.
“I think because I’m probably not a babyface deep down [laughs]. It was just a lot of demons at once and being a dentist and professional wrestler is super inspiring and I have two Plan A careers, but not everybody has that so not everybody wants to hear that every second of the day. I blame [Jim Ross]. With full-blown respect, he really screwed me because he said on every single friggin’ episode of Dynamite that I was a dentist 100 times to the point that it wasn’t cool anymore. It certainly wasn’t my fault, so it’s got to be JR’s,”
