Brodie Lee reveals that WWE offered to send him to NJPW

WWE made a lot of offers to Brodie Lee to try and keep him into the company and one of the surprising perks the company had offered the former Champion was the chance to wrestle in NJPW while still being under a WWE contract.

The former Luke Harper recently appeared on Talk Is Jericho podcast where he talked about his WWE career in detail and explained his frustrations with the company.

Discussing his contract negotiations with the promotion, Lee revealed that Triple H had actually offered to send him to New Japan Pro Wrestling under a WWE contract:

“Hunter (Triple H) had called me like ‘what do you want to do?’ I was like ‘I want to wrestle.’ He goes ‘do you want to go to New Japan?’ And I was like ‘yes, 100 per cent,’”

However, Lee admitted that he had doubts about this offer. Ultimately, this discussion never came to fruition and Brodie Lee left WWE to join AEW.
