WWE was known to have quite a few bizarre storylines that push the envelope as far as TV programs are concerned back during the Attitude Era and early 2000s. Storylines such as Katie Vick, Kane and Lita’s relationship and many more disturbed several fans all around the world.
Vince McMahon is known to have a very peculiar mindset when it comes to storylines in WWE. One of the most talked-about rumors with respect to a storyline featured an incest angle between Stephanie McMahon and Vince himself.
The storyline was pitched around the time when Stephanie McMahon was pregnant with her first child. As the rumors go, Vince McMahon allegedly said that he should be revealed as the father.
When Stephanie McMahon shot down that idea, Vince McMahon allegedly suggested that Shane McMahon be revealed as the father instead.
During Bruce Prichard’s Something To Wrestle With podcast, he addressed the storyline in question. Wrestling-Edge transcribed his comments.
”He didn’t want to run an incest angle, he asked a question one time – what if he was the father? That’s it. This is coming from people who never had a creative bone in their body.
He then was asked about Vince’s idea to have Shane McMahon be the father. “It just didn’t happen because if it did happen, it’d be a joke.”
