After being away from WWE television for over a year, Brock Lesnar made his return at WWE SummerSlam in 2021, immediately setting his sights set on Roman Reigns. He also sported a ponytail, which was completely different from what fans were used to seeing him in.
Lesnar won the WWE Championship after defeating Big E, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley in a Fatal Five-Way match at WWE Day 1. However, he would lose the title to Bobby Lashley last month after Roman Reigns interfered in the match thanks to Paul Heyman turning on The Beast Incarnate.
Lesnar then won the Men’s Royal Rumble match and went on to choose Roman Reigns as his opponent for WrestleMania. He then won the WWE Championship in the WWE Title Elimination Chamber match in Saudi Arabia on February 19th. Since then the two have continued to engage in their feud, as they will be putting both of their titles on the line at WrestleMania 38.
During this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Roman Reigns vowed to beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. Reigns said that he would become the “Undisputed WWE Universal Champion,” seemingly revealing the name of the new unified title at WrestleMania 38.
