Christian Reveals If He’ll Return After Royal Rumble

The Christian return at the Royal Rumble stunned WWE fans, along with many other big names that returned, and in a post show interview, he played coy about his future plans, saying all he promised was ‘one more match.’ This was in reference to a Christian storyline from a decade ago in WWE. Wrestling-Edge transcribed Christian’s comments.

“It was a little surreal to be honest with you, I didn’t know what to expect. But it’s funny they say everybody has a plan until they get hit.

That was kind of the case here, I had a vision of what was going to happen, I got hit once, and I was like alright it’s on. But it felt good, this is what I was born to do. It felt like being home.”

“It was good, nobody knew what was happening, I was kind of playing coy all day. So it was a big surprise.”

He added, “If I couldn’t win it, I’m glad [Edge] did. I’ll put it that way.”

He was then asked what is next for him. He responded, “What’s next for me? All I ever promised was one more match. That could be it.”

Christian was forced to retire in 2014 due to injuries, and had a ‘match’ with Randy Orton last year where he took no bumps and was low blowed by Ric Flair.
