Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian were scheduled to face The Best Friends on AEW Dynamite this week. However, prior to the match, the Lucha Bros attacked them and hit a piledriver on Daniels, on the entrance ramp. Daniels had to be carried out on a stretcher.
He was replaced by Scorpio Sky and it seems Sky will be wrestling in his place for the next match as well. Kazarian provided an update regarding Christopher Daniels’ injury and said he will be out for “a while.”
Update on the status of @facdaniels The good news is he’s ok. Diagnosed with a pinched nerve. His spirits are high. The bad news is he will be out of action for a while. @ScorpioSky stepped in and SCU now has even more to fight for. We WILL be @AEWrestling tag team champions.
We hope the injury is nothing serious and it is more so storyline-related. We will keep you updated regarding Daniels’ injury status as we learn more.
