Matt Cardona, previously known as Zack Ryder during his 15-year stint in WWE, has made a name for himself as a top-tier performer since being released from the company during the Covid-cuts in 2020. Recently, the former NWA Champion expressed his interest in facing Bobby Lashley, the reigning WWE Champion, in the rumored Bobby Lashley vs. Bray Wyatt match at WrestleMania 39.
Given their prior altercation, it would make sense for WWE to consider Matt Cardona as a potential replacement in the event that Bray Wyatt is unable to compete at the “Show of Immortals”. In 2020, Matt Cardona had his final match in WWE against Bobby Lashley and hopes to have his return match against him as well.
In response, the former WWE superstar took to Twitter to remind Lashley of their history and offer himself as a challenger for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.
