WWE has neglected and misused many superstars over the years and that includes both Cody Rhodes and Shawn Spears. Rhodes recently spoke to Busted Open Radio, where he said he understands Shawn Spears’ point of view.
Shawn Spears shot to fame owing to his infamous chair shot to Cody Rhodes at AEW Fyter Fest, but Cody Rhodes explained how the two are similar in ways. Here is what he said:
“It took a snap of a finger and it took ten staples to the back of my head. I think the answer with how somebody like Shawn Spears goes from toiling in obscurity from the middle card, I should know that answer better than anybody because I was toiling in the middle card.”
Hopefully, WWE understands how much they underutilized Tye Dillinger and then let him go despite his potential. Now AEW has a rising star who WWE misused.
Spears and Cody are set to face off against each other at AEW All Out this month.
