UFC President Dana White could bring back the former UFC fighter Brandon Davis as he has been pitched to fight Sean O’Malley at UFC 264 next weekend. Since his release, Davis has gone 3-0 and has been in camp for a July 24 fight.
Dana White could consider Brandon Davis to return
It is less than two weeks before UFC 264 pay-per-view, which has the biggest card of the year. The bantamweight prospect Sean O’Malley apparently does not have an opponent for his battle.
Ariel Helwani had reported that Louis Smolka had withdrawn from his pay-per-view main card opener against O’Malley. Now, the UFC officials are in search of a replacement on such a short notice. Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins Wedding Photo Leaks
O’Malley had previously suffered a TKO loss to Marlon Vera. He got back to winning ways after a three-round destruction of Thomas Almeida at UFC 260 in March.
Tim Elliott, Ricky Simon, and Merab Dvalishvili are all the other potential Smolka replacements. Elliott normally competes at flyweight, while Simon is unranked at 135 but on a three-fight win streak. Dvalishvili on the other hand is in the top-10 and he had suggested to keep his fight with Marlon Moraes intact.
It is to be seen if Brandon Davis would be the returning to fight O’Malley at the pay-per-view.
