Daniel Bryan could get a title shot against Kenny Omega
Dave Meltzer recently posted on F4Wonline.com’s forums about Christian Cage being named number 1 contender for the AEW Title over Adam Page. He said:
“It was the only decision available. On a separate note and I don’t know they are doing Omega vs. Danielson or Punk, but the game has changed and if they don’t do Omega vs. both of them, and particularly Danielson, before he drops the title, it’s absolute promotional malpractice.”
He noted that it had nothing to do with this decision. “Omega vs. Danielson is a stadium show” and to give up on that because some people want Page with the belt if it’s the right thing for a business is just too much. Meltzer noted that it’s a business, and it is more than what the fans want because it can kill the bigger matches in the process.
