Deontay Wilder Looks ‘Mentally Deranged’ In Interview

Deontay Wilder is set to face off against Britain’s WBC champion Tyson Fury for the WBC World Heavyweight Championship in Las Vegas on July 24. Ahead of their boxing match, they had a press conference where they could not stop staring at each other. Tyson Fury also leaked bad news related to Wilder’s health recently.

Wilder also had this to say:

“I’m looking forward to July 24, to show the greatness of me.

Of course, Fury [was more hurt]. I gave him concussion. Didn’t you see his eyes go back in the back of his head?

“Even under the circumstances that I was under, he can’t even knock me out.”

After the press conference where he basically said nothing, Deontay Wilde took part in his first interview since the conference. For many fans, he looked very deranged and out of place. Here is what some fans had to say on Reddit:

Jesus the entire video looks creepy, dude is mentally deranged as fuck. That interviewer may be an ass kisser but tbh I would probably be afraid to stand alone in a room with wilder and ask him inflammatory questions.

Man found his voice when Fury wasn’t around to take the piss out of him aha.

1 hour and 20 minutes?! Didn’t know Deontay had so much to say when seeing the conference

We’ve seen them fight twice, first fight was a controversial draw where most thought Fury won 8 rounds, second fight was an absolute beating followed by the most delusional excuses I’ve ever seen from a boxer, even degrading a great fighter like Mark Breland. Wilders team were in no rush to make the fight and missed the deadline to set it up (Wilder wasn’t ready for an immediate rematch) but got a crack legal team to push it through right when we had the undisputed heavyweight fight Wilder avoided. I don’t dislike Wilder just because, he’s consistently done and said ridiculous things while taking the least risks for years now, inflamed a cult following of trolls, he’s just not likable and his legacy so far is trash
