DDP believes that the WWE has found the next Shawn Michaels in NXT’s North American Champion, Adam Cole. While he was a guest on TSN 1050 Toronto to promote DDP Yoga and the upcoming book, Diamond Dallas Page said that he recently went down to the Performance Center to work as a trainer.
While there, he worked with many NXT stars and Cain Velasquez but took time to mention the leader of the Undisputed Era, Adam Cole.
You look at a guy like Adam Cole, you know, they’re comparing him to Shawn Michaels. That’s who he could be down the line. To say he’s Shawn Michaels right now would be to say some of these young kids in the NBA have the ability to be Michael Jordan, you know. But he really does have the ability, the work ethic, the knowledge. He’s gonna be a huge superstar up in the WWE and he’s getting to work with Shawn Michaels down there as well.
Cole has pretty much stayed near the top of the card on NXT since jumping Drew McIntyre at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III last year and has gone toe to toe with the best that the brand has to offer. It’s easy to believe that someone of Adam Cole’s caliber can find himself in the same conversation as HBK should his career in the WWE go as well as expected.
