WWE Fastlane concluded this Sunday and it seems the company already has a lot of plans changed for WrestleMania 37. Batista ‘can’t return’ at WrestleMania for a sad reason.
As seen on WWE the Fastlane pay-per-view, Edge seemingly turned Heel after he attacked both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan with many steel chair shots before making his way out of the ring. Roman Reigns ultimately got the three count on Daniel Bryan and successfully retained the title.
It was later confirmed by Dave Meltzer that the company plans on inserting Daniel Bryan into the main event match of WrestleMania 37. It was originally going to feature Edge challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. However, now Bryan will also be included in the match, making it a triple threat affair at the Show of Shows.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the match was changed due to Vince McMahon changing his mind and having the change made.
“I thought that it was because they were afraid that Roman Reigns was going to get cheered over Edge and f*ck up the match, but in fact, that isn’t the reason. I thought for sure that was the reason. That’s not the reason. I think Vince McMahon just felt that it’s not what he wanted. It was what he wanted and now it wasn’t what he wanted, so Daniel Bryan is in there and Edge is a heel which is, I guess what he wanted.
