Report: Edge’s match for WrestleMania 37 already decided

Even if Edge is currently on the shelf with a torn triceps injury, plans for his return are still in motion, and that includes his match for WrestleMania 37 next year.

As we would always caveat, plans in WWE can always change, however Dave Meltzer is reporting that Edge vs. Randy Orton in a ‘I Quit’ match has already been pencilled in as one of the main matches at next year’s Show of Shows. The trilogy match between the friends turned foes was originally scheduled to happen at SummerSlam until Edge’s injury setback.

On the injury, Edge recently provided an update on his health in an interview with ComicBook:

“I don’t know, it was a month yesterday. It’s so hard to tell in that initial kind of two months where it’s at and where everything is. I’ve always been happy with the fact that I rebound from injuries pretty quickly. I got back from a torn Achilles in six months which is kind of stupid.”

“Back to the point of how long? I don’t know I’m just going to listen to my body and truly listen to my body, make sure I have self care, which I never really paid attention to before. Whether that entails yoga, cold plunges, saunas, whatever that is, I just need to do more of it, especially being 46 now.”

With torn triceps injuries generally taking around 4-8 months for recovery, a return for around WrestleMania season seems ideal for the Rated-R superstar.
