Pro wrestling has seen its fair share of legendary figures who have captured the hearts and minds of fans all over the world. Superstars like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and John Cena are widely recognized as some of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time, with their mainstream appeal extending beyond the wrestling world. But for former WWE Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone, being recognized as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time isn’t just a lofty goal, it’s a personal mission.

Known for her bold decision-making and her willingness to speak her mind, Mercedes Mone left WWE to pursue her own path in the wrestling world. And now, she’s aiming higher than ever before. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Mone made a bold claim, stating that she is not just the greatest women’s wrestler, but the greatest wrestler of all time.

“I’m not the greatest women’s wrestler, I am the greatest wrestler.

When you think of John Cena, The Rock or Kenny Omega, I won’t stop until people are thinking of Mercedes Moné in that same light.”

Mone is aware of the immense respect and admiration that people like John Cena, The Rock, and Kenny Omega command in the wrestling world. But that hasn’t stopped her from setting her sights on being mentioned in the same breath as these legends.

In addition to her impressive wrestling career, Mone has also found success outside of the ring. She has reprised her role as Kona Reeves in the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian, which has introduced her to a whole new fan base. Her role has even earned her the distinction of being the first non-WWE action figure to be produced in her likeness.

Despite rumors that WWE may be open to bringing Mone back into the fold, she remains focused on her own goals and ambitions. With her eyes set firmly on being recognized as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, it’s clear that Mone won’t be satisfied until she’s achieved her ultimate goal.
