At the age of 55, Foxx is taking center stage in a brand-new campaign for BetMGM, the sports-betting app that has been making waves in the industry. In this exclusive first look at the ad, Foxx exudes charisma and style as he dons a sleek black suit and takes a seat at the piano inside the NoMad Library within the Park MGM Las Vegas.

 


 

The timing of this campaign couldn’t be more perfect, as it gears up for the kickoff of the 2023 NFL season. The ad begins with Foxx setting the stage, declaring with enthusiasm, “Oh, it’s about to be a party in here.” His infectious energy immediately captures the audience’s attention.

Foxx continues to tout the virtues of BetMGM, emphasizing that it’s the one-stop destination for all things sports betting, and it’s live. As he speaks, the serene atmosphere of the piano bar is disrupted by a flurry of athletic activity unfolding around him, creating a dynamic contrast between the world of sports and the world of music.

Behind the scenes, Jamie Foxx proved to be a delight to work with, according to Geno Burmester, the creative director at 72andSunny, the agency responsible for the campaign. Filmed in July, the commercial saw Foxx bringing his charismatic energy to every take. He shared laughter and jokes with the crew, and, notably, his piano performance in the ad was entirely his own, showcasing his musical talents.
