Jim Ross reveals one match he wishes he had called

Jim Ross has been the voice of the wrestling world for a long time and the legendary commentator has called many iconic matches in his four-decade-long career.

During a recent interview on the Roman Show, the AEW employee talked about a number of things and also revealed one match he wishes he had called.

Ross said that he would have loved to call Mick Foley’s first WWE win which he couldn’t do because he was off the work due to Bell’s Palsy facial paralysis:

“Yeah I would have loved to call Mick Foley’s first WWE title win, I was off work with Bell’s Palsy facial paralysis at the time. But I was very pleased cause Mick was one of my favorite hires. I hired him over the objections of several, including Vince. So, when Mick got that first title win, I would have loved to have been there for that moment but I did watch it on TV. That’s the one match I can think of that I would have really liked to have called if given the opportunity.”

Mick Foley won the WWE World title for the first time on December 28th, 1998 by defeating The Rock and the change aired during the January 4th, 1999 episode of Raw.
