Jim Ross, the veteran AEW commentator on the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast lambasted the wrestling spot where the stars huddle outside the ring and a star dives out of the ring.
Jim Ross says he does not ‘buy into that’
Jim Ross does not stand back from being a critic. During the podcast, Ross claimed that it is only ‘a spot’ and it is done to spark the chants. He also called it a ‘trapeze act’.
He said:
“All you guys go outside, you cluster up like coils, you stand there in a huddle, friends and foes together, side-by-side, so you can catch some leaping idiot going over the top who never wins with this move. They are looking for the ‘holy shit’ chant. They love to hear, ‘this is awesome’. It’s a spot, folks. It’s a trapeze act. I don’t buy into that.”
AEW stars react to the remarks
Brandon Cutler took the chance to promote the 14-man tag match which is coming up on the Dec. 16 Dynamite and also mentioned about doing the ‘spot’.
He wrote:
