AEW star Jon Moxley is currently IWGP United States Champion in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). The promotion has recently announced its first event in the United States in over a year which was planned to take place early but go delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Resurgence show will take place on Saturday, August 14 at The Torch at L.A. Coliseum. The last event to be held in the US was the New Beginning in USA tour event in Georgia on February 1, 2020.
Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, June 30. Prices are $39, $59, $79, $99, $199 and $299. According to the website of the venue, the attendance capacity for The Torch is listed at 5,000 with the possibility to expand to 10,000.
The showwill air on FITE TV and NJPW World live. A full card for the event will be announced at a later date.
