Jorge Masvidal Going To New Company After UFC?

After Jorge Masvidal’s loss to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287, many are speculating that Jorge Masvidal will go to WWE after his retirement from UFC. Endeavor is merging WWE and UFC after buying WWE.

Colby Covington, the American mixed martial artist, has accused Bob Menery, former co-host of Full Send podcast, for being the reason why he was attacked by Jorge Masvidal outside a Miami restaurant. The altercation occurred following their bitter rivalry, which culminated in Covington defeating Masvidal via unanimous decision at UFC 272.

During UFC 286, where Covington appeared as a back-up fighter for the main event, he spoke with the press and disclosed details about the night he was attacked by Masvidal. According to Covington, Menery is responsible for the attack as he had just finished filming an episode of Full Send podcast with the Nelk Boys, and Menery later tagged Covington on an Instagram post at Papi’s Steakhouse as the location. Covington clarified that he had no relationship with Menery and had only met him through the Nelk Boys.

Covington stated, “I don’t know what to believe with that guy, I think he set me up with what happened, but I’ll let that work out the way it does. I ran into him ironically at the Super Bowl, he was there trying to get a picture, I was like, Nah, I ain’t taking a picture, we aren’t friends. We never were friends. So… I just think he’s a fake guy, and no relationship.”

The rivalry between Covington and Masvidal is personal, with the pair often trading verbal attacks on one another and their families. However, their UFC bout did not mark the end of their feud. On March 22, 2022, Masvidal infamously attacked Covington outside a Miami restaurant. Since then, they have been embroiled in a legal battle, as Masvidal was arrested for aggravated battery, and Covington claimed he suffered brain damage.

“I don’t have a relationship with Bob Menery. The only reason that I had met that guy was through the Nelk Boys, through Kyle and those guys, because I was doing the podcast with those guys….I don’t know what to believe with that guy, I think he set me up with what happened, but I’ll let that work out the way it does.”

“I ran into him ironically at the Super Bowl, he was there trying to get a picture, I was like, Nah, I ain’t taking a picture, we aren’t friends. We never were friends. So … I just think he’s a fake guy and, uh, no relationship.”
