The Pirate Princess has once again overcome the beast that is Shayna Baszler. At NXT Takeover Brooklyn IV, Kairi Sane managed to defeat the fearsome Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship. Previously, she went over Baszler in the finals of the Mae Young Classic and became the inaugural winner of the tourney.
Kairi Sane reversed a vicious sleeper hold by Baszler into a pinfall attempt and surprisingly got the three count. She fought valiantly throughout the entire match and finally rose to the top of the women’s division. Sane’s emotion all came out rushing after this momentous victory as she held the NXT Women’s title in awe.
