Kevin Owens reveals WWE had plans for his NXT return

WWE has sent a number of main roster stars back to NXT in order to try and boost the ratings of the show since its TV debut and it appears that Kevin Owens could have been one of those stars.

The former Universal Champion recently had an interview with Metro.co.uk where he talked about his appearance at last year’s edition of Takeover: WarGames and more.

Continuing on topic, Owens talked a potential extended return to the Black and Yellow brand and revealed that the company actually had plans for the same:

“At one point there was a plan for me to go back to NXT at some point last year, which didn’t happen, obviously. But we had even discussed, maybe if that happens, then maybe I could show up on NXT UK and work with all these different people. I’d love to get to do that.”

Kevin Owens is currently scheduled to face the Universal Champion Roman Reigns for his title at Sunday’s TLC PPV in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match.
