The former WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens has not been featured in WWE programming for quite some time now. He recently surprised the Vancouver Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau in a video clip on the NHL Network this week.
Kevin Owens provides an update on his return
The clip also made news in wrestling circles because Owens indicated that he was ready to return as soon as WWE is ready for him. “It’s in their hands right now,” Owens said.
Owens has been out of action with a minor injury but it sounds as if he could be back in the ring by the end of this month, if not sooner. During his appearance on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast/radio show, Dave Meltzer said that he believes that Owens will be back soon. Meltzer said:
“I know that he’s fine. My impression is [he’ll be back in] a few more weeks.”
Meltzer said that his belief is that it was just a minor injury and while many speculated, it is not because of the virus owing to the pandemic. Before he went down with the injury.
The former Universal Champion is currently feuding with Ezekiel and was scheduled to wrestle him on the June 27th edition of “Raw” before the match was taken off the show. We will now have to wait and see when ‘The Prizefighter’ makes his way back to the programming. It is being speculated that he will involved in a fresh feud upon the highly-anticipated return.
