Khabib ‘Addiction’ Revealed To UFC Fans

The former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov had shockingly announced his retirement from the octagon. He retired with a record of unblemished 29-0. However, there is no doubt that he misses stepping foot in the octagon but he is rock-solid on his decision to stay retired.

Khabib compares fighting with addiction

The Russian fighter told UFC Russia that he is now leading a ordinary life and he is glad to leave the ‘prison’ of being the champion in UFC. However, he still misses everything from UFC but there is not a single moment when he regrets his decision. Conor McGregor ‘Party’ In Las Vegas Photo Leaks

He also said that stepping foot in the cage is like an addiction to him. Here is what he said:

“Well, I miss almost everything if I can say so.There are so many moments when I feel lack of competition or it’s spirit, you know. There are many things that I miss. Simply because I spent my entire life doing them. No, there was not a single moment when I had regrets or doubts about my decision. However, I miss this competition environment itself, training camps, losing weight, etc.

Because it’s some sort of an addiction and you can’t get rid of it, it simply exists. Sometimes you just want to enter the octagon and kick ass, fight for five rounds straight and make it really tough. But life is life. Even if not now, then at some point in life, I’d have quit and say no to this sport anyway.”

It was recently noted that UFC President Dana White has been approaching The Eagle to convince him to step out of retirement and return to the octagon. We will see if that happens in future.
