Originally, Jon Moxley was supposed to team up with Darby Allin and recent AEW signee Will Hobbs on AEW Dynamite. The trio would face the unholy alliance of Lance Archer, Brian Cage, and Ricky Starks. Unfortunately, plans have changed.
Lance Archer has revealed that he’s tested positive for COVID-19. Thanks to this, AEW Dynamite has been forced to make some changes. It looks like the company decided to throw a huge curveball, as the AEW World Title is now on the line tonight.
When I returned from our last show, a family member was ill when I got home. I found out later a friend who had taken my family member to the Vet for our Dachshund was COVID positive. While at home, now I’ve also gotten sick tested positive. I feel ok, expect to see me in 2 wks

Instead of the original match, Jon Moxley will now defend his title on AEW Dynamite against Eddie Kingston tonight. Kingston has been claiming for weeks that he was never eliminated from the battle royal that earned Archer his title shot. So it makes sense that Kingston would get an opportunity with Archer out.
