Fox News host Laura Ingraham suggested on her show, The Ingraham Angle, that Democrats may be trying to incite “civil unrest” as part of a broader strategy to implement nationwide mail-in voting. Ingraham expressed her concerns, stating, “Now at this point, given what we are seeing in the courts, at the DOJ, and even in state A.G. offices, and given Democrats’ ‘Trump is Hitler’ rhetoric, is it not logical, at least to consider, maybe even to assume, that some on the left are hoping to spark some type of civil unrest here?”
Ingraham went on to propose that such unrest could potentially lead to a crackdown on civil liberties or the declaration of a nationwide emergency, serving as a pretext for the implementation of nationwide mail-in voting. She linked this idea to the left’s purported affinity for lockdowns, the 2020 riots, and the events of January 6th, suggesting that Democrats are favorable to the concept of universal mail-in or internet voting.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, appearing on the show, echoed Ingraham’s concerns, particularly in light of the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to bar former President Donald Trump from the state’s ballot. Gingrich warned that the American people would not tolerate being denied a choice in the presidential election, cautioning that Democrats could be approaching a point where their actions lead to a dangerous confrontation with significant consequences for the country.
