Logan Paul Caught ‘Ripping Off’ Conor McGregor

Logan Paul is one of the most infamous internet sensations to turn their attention to the sport of boxing. However, during an edition of Paul’s ever-popular ‘Impaulsive’ podcast last year, he stated how he was influenced by UFC great Conor McGregor in the road to Paul’s series of boxing matches with KSI. Logan Paul was ‘humiliated’ after this UFC Vegas bet.

Paul would state that he imitated McGregor’s heavy use of profanity-laced smack talk and discussed how because he tried to put on a show, like McGregor does, he failed in his first two fights. However, he would compliment McGregor as the perfect mix of fighter and showman. Credit to SportsKeeda for the following quotes.

“I made that mistake in my first two fights…I was just trying to put on a show. Because [Conor McGregor] falls in this almost perfect category of fighter and showman. That’s why he is the biggest in the world,” said Logan Paul.

Paul would then state how while this level of showmanship is hard to achieve, it is something that every fighter achieves to be, as he added: “Every fighter wants to be a showman but it’s hard. The only person who has created a model for what people get excited about in UFC is Conor McGregor.”
