Jeremy Borash reported after yesterday’s (Thurs. April 20, 2017) Impact Wrestling Tapings that a “major name” will be making his return at tonight’s set of tapings. Borash stated that the star “last appeared at Victory Road in 2005”, however, there was no Victory Road event in 2005 so it is most likely he was referring to either 2004 or 2006.
Early speculation suggests the star is Matt Sydal (better known as Evan Bourne in WWE). Sydal took part in a 20-man “X Division Gauntlet for the Gold” match at Victory Road 2004, so he does fit the description.
