Miro reveals his real feelings about WWE releasing him

On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Rusev, now known as Miro, made his in-ring debut. Rusev was in a tag team with Kip Sabian and faced Sonny Kiss and Joey Janela, with Miro and Sabian coming away with the win.

Rusev recently also spoke to Sports Illustrated, where he talked about his release from WWE. Kip Sabian’s ‘Best Man’ talked about the release and said that he was not bitter with WWE.

“People ask me why I’m not bitter. WWE gave me a platform. I have the best fanbase in the world. And that is where I met my wife. I love her to death. If nothing else came of it, I met my wife. So I can’t be bitter. There is no point to that.”

While currently, Miro is working with Kip Sabian, his direction in AEW as an individual is not certain yet. With Miro making his debut, what his role as a ‘Best Man’ entails will become clear in the coming weeks.

Rusev also hinted at a future destination after AEW as well.

“I love professional wrestling, and it has so much left to offer me. As soon as I got that call [from WWE], I immediately knew I wanted to go two places. The first one, I’m already here. The second, you’ll find out when the time is right.”
