WWE usually keeps their financial numbers a secret and whatever information we get on wrestlers’ salaries is through the insider reports that come out every so often.
One such report was recently published by Sports Business Journal which takes an in-depth look at the WWE Performance center and also reveals the average salaries of its recruits.
According to the reports, the Wrestlers signed to a development contract are paid between $50,000 to $150,000 with the salaries increasing to up to seven figures if they make it to the top:
“Those signed to developmental contracts are paid on average $50,000 to $150,000 a year. The overall average for those in development is about $80,000. If they reach the top of the WWE, salaries can climb into the seven figures.”
Though it’s worth mentioning here that these numbers are obviously dependent on the wrestler itself and some of the more high profile names like Samoa Joe could also be offered twice as much even if they are signed to NXT.
