Due to Jordan Devlin being unable to travel from the UK, WWE had to make a difficult decision. The COVID-19 outbreak means he could not come to Orlando for NXT. So WWE decided to hold a tournament for an interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
WWE has finally revealed details regarding the tournament. 8 Superstars will be participating in the tournament, with the winner being crowned the interim champion. Here are the rules:
-Eight Superstars will be split into two groups of four.
-Superstars will compete against each of the three other members of their group.
-The Superstar with the best record in each group will advance to the championship match.
-Any ties will be broken by head-to-head record.
-The winner of Group A will face the winner of Group B to determine the new Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
The names of the participants have yet to be revealed. It is likely they will be revealed soon enough. Jordan Devlin is certainly likely to go after the interim champion. He also said that whoever wins will receive a replica because he has the real one.
