NXT Head Writer reportedly gone from WWE

The head writer for NXT Joe Belcastro has departed from WWE ending his seven-year-long stint with the company according to reports from Wrestling Observer Radio.

Belcastro, like Renee Young also gave his notice last week. However, while Young is still expected to work the SummerSlam PPV, the WWE writer is already gone from the promotion.

The former WWE employee was first hired by the company back in September 2013 as a writer for various programming on WWE TV and WWE Network in 2016.

He rose through the ranks quickly and Joe Belcastro was promoted to being the lead writer and producer for the WWE TV and Network programming.

He was promoted once again in February 2019 and the WWE official was given the title of Vice President of Television Creative with this promotion.

There is no word yet on the reason behind his departure from the company but we will keep you updated if any information regarding the situation comes to light.
