Pat McAfee Makes Cryptic AEW Remark On Smackdown

The SmackDown color commentator Pat McAfee is one of the top stars in the company. His great mic-skills as well as in-ring prowess have been praised by the fans. He was given the opportunity to cut a promo recently where he possibly made an AEW reference or to the song ‘T.N.T’ by the popular hard rock band AC/DC.

Pat McAfee might have referenced AEW

McAfee kicked off the show by cutting a promo for his upcoming match at SummerSlam against Happy Corbin. On the latest edition of SmackDown, Theory and Madcap Moss faced each other in a singles match. During this match, McAfee referenced both competitors’ performances to Dynamite.

“Like TNT, like dynamite!”

After Money in the Bank went off air, Corbin assaulted the WWE commentator, which resulted in the latter suffering a mild injury to neck. He had to wear a neck brace for a brief period. McAfee and Michael Cole’s commentary on SmackDown has been loved by the fans. However, the former NFL player had missed out on last week’s edition of SmackDown due to the attack. Last week, WWE announced that Pat McAfee had signed a multi-year contract with the company and noted the deal “will see McAfee entertaining the WWE Universe for years to come.”

According to WrestleVotes, the former NFL punter signed the extension several weeks ago, and it was positively received by people within the company. He joined the SmackDown commentary team last year and works alongside Michael Cole on Friday Nights.

McAfee is set to face Happy Corbin in a match at SummerSlam on Saturday, July 30 at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
