Raw star removed from Money In The Bank match due to injury

Apollo Crews, Rey Mysterio, and Andrade teamed up to face Angel Garza, Austin Theory, and Andrade in a 6 man tag team match on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

Crews ended up picking the victory for his team and he pinned the US Champion Andrade for the win. This victory earned him a title shot later in the show.

However, the former NXT star ended up suffering a knee injury during the championship match and the company has now announced that he will not be able to compete at the upcoming Money In The Bank ladder match due to the injury:

Apollo Crews suffered a knee injury that left him unable to continue in his United States Championship Match with Andrade on Raw. Due to that injury, Crews will no longer be able to compete in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Sunday, May 10.

WWE has not announced a replacement for the Raw star for the upcoming ladder match and it would be interesting to see how they find a new contestant for the bout.
