We reported earlier that WWE might be planning to bring Matt Riddle up to main-roster. Riddle has been a main-stay of NXT for the past year and has made quite the name for himself there.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Riddle’s imminent main-roster call-up. Meltzer stated that before Riddle signed with WWE, he had a number of options available including major promotions like NJPW & AEW.
Meltzer also made note of the fact that Riddle could have been making more money in RoH than what he’s getting at NXT. But Riddle decided to go with the WWE and now that he’s been there for some time, the company just had to bring him up to the main roster.
Riddle already has shoot beef with the likes of Goldberg and Brock Lesnar which has made him infamous amongst the WWE Universe. Therefore his transition to the main roster should be smooth and effortless.
