Rey Mysterio on the possibility of facing Daniel Bryan: “Anything can happen”

In seven months, Rey Mysterio has made two separate Royal Rumble appearances, shown up for a few NJPW events, and is already booked for the upcoming All In event on September 1st. Along with his success in the ring, Mysterio was announced as a pre-order bonus for WWE2K19.

2018 has been the year of Mysterio, and the Lucha Legend doesn’t plan on stopping now. He was recently interviewed on The Roman Show where he spoke about returning to the WWE and a possible match with Daniel Bryan.

Facing Daniel Bryan in the WWE:

Anything can happen. I did already, two Royal Rumbles, for the WWE this year. So if you happen to see me on a Raw or on a Smackdown…and you wanna see a certain match, then you already know.

His upcoming schedule for the rest of 2018:

If not, I’m still gonna be doing what I’m doing out here in the independent scene. Next month I’m out in New Japan in Tokyo to do another show for NJPW. I’m doing the All In event that sold out in 29 minutes, so there’s a lot of good things coming. The Chris Jericho cruise in October, and the Expo Lucha that’s on August 30-31 in Las Vegas.

ROH/NJPW’s event at MSG:

I tip my hat for the hard work that they’ve been doing. You gotta put in perspective the amount of good talent, the roster that NJPW has is unbelievable. And if you combine the rosters of NJPW and ROH, you have a great roster to look at. So, I wish them the best of luck at their event next year.

There’s a lot of great things going on in the wrestling world, so you have to keep your ears open and your eyes open. Good things are still yet to come.

While a rumor was spread around last week regarding Mysterio supposedly signing a new contract with the WWE, it was deemed false. However, that doesn’t mean that the Ultimate Underdog won’t find his way into the WWE before the year is over.

If not, he’ll continue to rock the independent scene and could possibly be a part of the ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard event during WrestleMania weekend.
