Rey Mysterio ‘Removed’ From WWE Smackdown

There is absolutely no doubt that Rey Mysterio is one of the most popular and greatest luchadors to have ever stepped foot inside the world of professional wrestling and remains a beloved Superstar in WWE. On the WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view, Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio challenged Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. They would go on to defeat Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles and become the first-ever father and son duo to win the WWE tag team titles in the company’s history. Rey Mysterio’s daughter Aalyah Mysterio is also gone for a bad reason.

Roman Reigns would successfully defend his WWE Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio on last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown as well. He decimated Rey Mysterio and shattered his dreams of winning the title. On this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown Rey Mysterio did not appear.

However, in a shocking turn of events, WWE Hall Of Famer Edge made his return to the company and immediately attacked the Tribal Chief. The Rated R Superstar is now the new challenger for Roman Reign’s WWE Universal Championship and will feud with him for the time being as Rey Mysterio is out of the title picture.
