The wrestling community has gone wild ever since Janel Grant sued Vince McMahon, charging the latter with emotional abuse and sex trafficking. Along with celebrities from throughout the world, fans have also been voicing their opinions about the case and whether or not they thought the accusations were valid.
Former WWE superstar Ronda Rousey has added her perspective on the lawsuit to the litany of celebrities who have spoken out about it. Since leaving WWE, The Baddest Woman on the Planet has not spoken well of Vince McMahon or the organization.
Speaking on NewsNation, the former WWE Women’s Champion said that she wasn’t surprised with the controversial lawsuit. She further claimed that every other superstar in the roster was held hostage with their careers and some massive changes were required if WWE wanted to bring her back.
“It’s not surprising. I can tell you the reason why nobody else is speaking out is because they know that there will be negative repercussions if they say anything about the company that the company doesn’t like. Everybody is being held hostage by their careers, but since I don’t plan on going back there unless they make some very major changes, I feel free to say whatever I want to say, which I’ve always felt that way. I don’t really care if they have me back or not. I can wrestle wherever I want to wrestle and the truth should be told.”
Ronda Rousey has been making derogatory remarks about WWE recently, and it doesn’t appear likely that she’ll return to the company anytime soon. However, CM Punk’s unexpected comeback to the organization and change in behavior has left room for speculation.
