Brock Lesnar broke character to acknowledge Roman Reigns in a new NY Post interview. “I see a f–king superstar,” Lesnar said of Reigns “I see I guy who came into his own and is a real threat as a person and as a character. … Roman has the It factor, has had it. It’s exciting to me. I get goosebumps just thinking about this match.”
Brock Lesnar is currently the WWE Champion but it seems he had considered retirement after WrestleMania 36. The show took place with no fans at Performance Center when he lost against Drew McIntyre, who captured the title. ‘The Beast Incarnate’ was taken off the programming after that. He recently made his return at SummerSlam 2021 to ignite a feud with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Brock Lesnar reveals he had retired
Lesnar recently appeared on the Michael Kay Show, discussing his disappearance and the pandemic. He eventually returned at SummerSlam 2021 to a huge reception from the fans. Brock Lesnar said he considered himself retired after WM 36 and spoke about plans to keep going when asked.
“When I was younger I thought, I wanna retire when I’m 40,” said Lesnar. “I retired when [the pandemic] hit and my contract was up in 2020. Full circle Brock Lesnar story, I had my first wrestling match in Minnesota was in a garage with no people. 20 years later, had a WWE Title match at WrestleMania in a warehouse in front of no people. 20 years, full circle. I was like ‘I’m out.’”
Lesnar was then asked what brought him back, to which he laughed at replied, “Cha-ching” referring to his paycheck. Lesnar then talked about his new look upon his return at 2021 SummerSlam.
“My whole life I’ve been wearing a flat top, crew cut. In UFC I grew my beard out once. I said I’m gonna let it all go (once I left WWE). Last summer, before any of this evolved, it was so hot, I said ‘I’m gonna cut my hair,’ so my kids cut my hair. They said, ‘We’re going to give you a mohawk.’ Then they go, I bet you won’t wear a ponytail.’ I wasn’t gonna lose a bet to my kids. So, I wore this look. It wasn’t a mastermind (plan), it was a joke. Here I am. Brock Lesnar is a big ass joke,”
Brock Lesnar is set to face the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a Winner Take All Match at WrestleMania 38 which will take place on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas
