Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes Bombshell Revealed

Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes appears to be in the works. Not news but Meltzer says, historically in terms of one-night business, it is better to do a match like Reigns vs. Cody sooner than later so the heat does not wear off with a rival promotion guy slowly morphing, perspective wise, into being just another member of his new promotion’s roster. However, it would of course be better to wait for long-term just not until WrestleMania next year. Perhaps SummerSlam. He speculates a lack of remaining top-tier challengers could also speed that up.

Randy Orton is one of the stars who have a long history of getting inked. He has even landed in trouble for tattoos. During an appearance on this week’s “Out of Character with Ryan Satin, ‘The Viper’ revealed that when he was a teenager, he wanted to get the same tattoo as Goldberg.

Randy Orton on wanting a tattoo like Goldberg:

“As a wrestling fan, in my teenage years in high school, I loved Goldberg. For my first tattoo, I went into the tattoo shop, and I told the guy that I wanted the Goldberg tattoo.”

“I’m not the legend killer, the Viper, and all that. I’m 18. I can get some ink now and I want to look tough. So Goldberg is my guy and I’m an idiot. So the tattoo artist said, ‘How about let’s come up with something that’s just for you. I said, ‘Okay, that’s a good idea.’”

RK-Bro defeated Alpha Academy and The Street Profits in the opening match of the night to retain the RAW Tag Team Championship. Moments after Riddle’s impressive top-rope RKO, Orton caught Chad Gable mid-air with an RKO following the Alpha Academy member’s attempt to perform a top-rope move. ‘The Viper’ had then pinned Gable to pick up the win for his team.

In the same interview, he talked about Triple H’s retirement and spoke about the interaction he had with him at the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony last weekend. Orton also spoke about that situation making him appreciate more of what he’s doing now with RK-Bro and Riddle:

“I got to see Triple H last night and I hugged that grown man as hard as I could, and I got emotional just because of this announcement last week,” Orton said. “We had just a few words between one another, but you don’t have forever. This is a really special close-knit group of guys and girls and this is where it’s at. To us, this is everything and you never know when it’s going to be taken away from you.

“All of that makes me appreciate the now more, and Riddle is one of those as well. I didn’t like him too much in the beginning, that was very real, but I love the guy now and he’s great and he’s motivated me to give it a little more effort. He’s making it more fun for me too.”
