Ronda Rousey ‘Banned’ WWE Star From Using Move?

Why was this Ronda Rousey move banned? During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, former WWE superstar Matt Cardona, known to audiences as Zack Ryder stated how WWE did not want him to use a baseball slide before an episode of Raw due to Ronda Rousey using the move during that same show. Cardona stated the following. Stephanie McMahon recently dropped this Ronda Rousey WWE WrestleMania bombshell.

“I was having a match before RAW, so Main Event or Superstars or whatever it’s called. And my producer told me I couldn’t do a baseball slide to the floor because Ronda Rousey was doing it two hours later on RAW. I can understand if you’re saying I can’t put Mike Kanellis through the announce table on Main Event. OK I get it. But I can’t do a baseball slide?! We’re talking about a baseball slide here! Because Ronda Rousey is doing a baseball slide? You think anybody is thinking in the arena, ‘Oh, Zack Ryder did that baseball slide two hours ago’? Like, come on!”

In other news regarding Ronda Rousey, one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Shayna Baszler recently was a guest on ‘Oral Sessions’ with Renee Paquette. During the interview, ‘The Submission Magician’ recently discussed her desire to face Rousey one day at an upcoming WWE WrestleMania. She made the following comments to the former Renee Young. Credit to Essentially Sports for the following transcription. Ronda Rousey made this ‘bold’ African-American claim not too long ago.

“Ron and I have talked about this after the Ultimate Fighter. I was at a stage in my life where like the world fell apart. I went through this stupid breakup and I broke my ankle, and all this stuff. Ronda had flown me out to California…. I went out there and she really helped me. I remember we were sitting around.. celebrating something.”

She continued: “We’re drinking and making toasts so I remember toasting like ‘Ronda, I am going to give you the fight that you deserve to thank you for what you did for me in my life’. And I remember the coaches at the time were like ‘that’s the best toast ever’.”

Baszler concluded: “That’s a WrestleMania. We’ll see. It has to. You know, WrestleMania is coming up so it’s probably not this one per se but it would have to be a spot.”
