Ryback on Paige’s in-ring retirement

WWE Star Paige fell to the ground after being hit in the back via a dropkick by Sasha Banks In a live event in December last year. Shortly after this, it was reported that her neck injury will force her to retire from in-ring action, at a mere age of 25 years.

Ryback discussed the injury of the former Diva’s Champion, on a recent episode of his ‘Conversation With The Big Guy’ podcast.

The former NXT Star said you never know what medical advancements will happen in upcoming 10 years and hoped that the rumors of her career ending are not true:

“You never know with medical advancements 10 years from now that they will find something, but as of right now she is done, and that sucks, but I hope that isn’t true. She is an amazing talent and an amazing person.”

While WWE has still not announced Paige’s in-ring retirement officially, they haven’t denied it either and considering that the Raw Star has not had any match since she got injured, these reprots appear to be true.

10 years time is a bit late. Most women rarely wrestle into their 30s (well in WWE anyway) and if she has had a 10 year lay off, getting back into the ring 10 years later after surgery is probably not gonna be a priority anymore.
The best she could probably hope for would be a return to the indy circuit.

Lets just hope the rumours are false anyway.
