Sandow Goes Outside the Ring, WWE Considering a Saturday TV Show?

– Damien Sandow is featured in the latest episode of WWE’s Outside the Ring:

– WWE sent out the following survey to fans regarding a potential Saturday morning TV show:

“Imagine a weekly, half hour WWE television show on Saturday mornings that included highlights of the best action and funniest moments from recent WWE events and from the past. The show would feature fun segments with WWE Superstars both in the ring and behind the scenes to give viewers a chance to get to know them even better. Every episode would also include one action-packed match featuring different WWE Superstars each week.

Based on this description, please rate the following show titles on a scale of 1-5 (5-excellent; 4-good; 3-neutral; 2-fair; 1-poor): WWE Saturday Morning Slam, WWE Jakked, WWE Amp’d, WWE Supercharge, WWE Turbocharge”

@Bill I forgot about Shotgun Saturday Night, that was a fun show at first. I remember the NY Subway Station show, and the show from a bar in Texas the night before Royal Rumble ’97 (I think ’97, the one Austin won after being thrown out by Bret) I remember Terry Funk running around attacking people and every other word coming out of his mouth getting bleeped haha. It still wasn’t that awful when they started taping it before RAW, but it did take a little away from the show.

sounds like WWE wants to phase out AM Raw and have a show on Saturday mornings instead of late Saturday night/early Sunday morning.

Sandow will be a world champion in the near future. He already has a top gimmick and is solid on the mic and in the ring. Draws mass heat…

Saturday’s at 12:00 on Fox was when they aired Superstars for me when I was a kid. Doing that type if shows to further story lines and have guys beating jobbers could and will enhance the current talent and make them legitimate. Unlike the “push” they receive only for them to get buried later on.

Sandow is $. I love the gimmick it has a old school feel to it.
I think hes a future star.

  • Bill

What about Shotgun Saturday Night? They aired that match where Undertaker faced HHH in a subway station.

I say Have the Saturday show be a Razor Ramon tribute show. It was a great Gimmick but Scott Hall killed him.

Put NXT on Saturday mornings and let kids discover wrestling the way a lot of us did. I loved Saturdays as a kid, I watched cartoons until 10am, then watched WWF Mania, then at 11 WWF Wrestling Challenge, then at 12 it was WWF Superstars of Wrestling. Then I would go outside and play until 6:05pm when WCW Saturday Night started…Better days than now.

@Jimbo yeah they show the same highlights and replays several times a night now that they have an extra hour to kill. Why not have some kinda WWE cartoon or something for Saturday mornings? If people are watching every wrestling show during the week they aren’t gunna watch some replay show.

  • Jimbo

A half hour of highlights? They already do that on RAW.
