Shane McMahon Insulted By Vince After Release

Vince McMahon indirectly addressed firing his son Shane McMahon on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday.

“My view is the business is best for everybody. Whether you’re a part of it or you’re not a part of it. You have to treat it as such to be objective and look at family members just like you would other employees. Quite frankly I probably expected more out of my family members.”

He also said, “If this person is not working out, then they shouldn’t be part of the company.”

Former WWE Champion and tag team specialist Jeff Hardy will always remain one of the most loved and talented pro wrestlers in the history of the business.  He has competed in numerous promotions throughout his career, including the likes of WWE ROH and TNA Wrestling. Fans are certainly well aware of his history of substance abuse issues and the personal demons he had to face. Jeff Hardy’s AEW debut tease was also revealed.

He is also part of The Hardy Boyz alongside his brother Matt Hardy. The two are currently in different pro wrestling companies but that does not mean they will not be working together again in the future. Jeff Hardy won the WWE Championship after defeating Triple H and Edge in a triple threat match at Armageddon 2008.

It was recently reported that Jeff Hardy rejected WWE offering him an induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Matt Hardy would eventually confirm the report as well. Jeff Hardy is more than likely on his way to AEW and recently claimed he will go to AEW before taking back his comment as he is still under a 90-day non-compete clause after his WWE Release.

Dave Meltzer discussed the possibility of WWE trying to sue AEW for what Jeff Hardy said on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, as he said the following:

“Look, we all know that Jeff Hardy is coming in. Jeff Hardy himself said it until he realized, ‘Oh my god, I just f*cked up!’ So, he had to say, ‘I didn’t mean it,’ because it’s like… Of course, he’s coming in unless something falls through. It’s understood. Everyone in wrestling knows it, but you can’t say it.

Jeff Hardy, today, is under contract to WWE. If you say that, it’s like, it’s frickin’ admission to tampering. Jeff saying it’s already a problem WWE, because, of course, they’re looking to do something legally in this situation. I mean, they’re looking for that mistake.”
